Kathysue, I am so sure you really need a day of complete rest. I hope your back is better. Stay in your pj's and just rest all day. Sounds perfect to me. I plan on doing the same thing and then tomorrow I am going to start packing all the Christmas away. I am so ready for it to go away. Hope you had a super Christmas. Hugs, Marty

Dearest Kathysue,

Indeed, between Christmas and New Year's it is a time to linger around the house... just reading and doing things that we didn't find the time for before Christmas. Staying in touch with loved ones via the phone (at least that is my option with over 4,000 miles or more than 12,000 miles between us...)and feeling happy.

Lots of love,

It's a PJ day for me (new Owl pajamas from my neice!) Tomorrow I have to hit the deck running, so taking it easy today. I even had a nap in the chair for a bit! Rest up, friend!

Today has been spent resting, reading, and watching football. Hockey will be on later this evening! It's been a wonderful day, as the snow falls outside, to recover from the wonderful mania that was Christmas! Your photos make me want to go put on my pajamas. :)

Kathysue, so glad you had a good Christmas too! And that's exactly me today too. Esp. with this snow, it was a good excuse to stay in my PJ's all day & I've loved it. Back to normal on Monday. Thanks for stopping by, my friend! Looking forward to another new year with all my blog buddies.

Actually we spent the entire day taking down decorations and putting things back together. I have to tell you as much as I love the holidays, it feels sooo good. Everything looks so good and fresh. I can now sit back, relax and enjoy the new year. As soon as it is over I have so much on my calendar that I can only be thankful for it. Happy New Year!!!

Today was another busy one for me...I get to start relaxing tomorrow...I am totally 'Christmased' out.(-: Now the reality of packing away all the decorations and getting the house back to normal.

Today was a very relaxed day for me. I would start to do something and decide a nap was a much better choice! I wish I had the energy to put things away but it will be closer to New Years before I un-decorate.
Back to normal for me tomorrow...I'm just not ready.
So happy to hear you had a wonderful Christmas.

Kathysue! What a brilliantly composed post!!! To the point, great photos, and a true sentiment for everyone!!! Woooo, did we have a fabulous first week off of work. We are both teachers, so we get two full weeks off for Christmas. My husband however, is now on Sabbatical until September and what a joy that will be for him. However, he will be writing, but that is a plus for him. Thank you for your visit! We are very excited to see our dream finally become a tangible joy and soon, very soon, we will be moving into it. Here in Minnesota it is very cold, but these builders are used to it and need to move on to a multi-million dollar project awaiting them, so we are progressing!

Have a wonderful and peaceful New Years celebration and hope to see you in 2011!! Anita

Hi KS!!!
I've so enjoyed seeing
the season at your house,
both inside and outside.
You are such a gem.
I am out in the PAC NW
with my little family,
my parents and my brother
and family. There has
been a lot of pj-wearing,
chats by the fire, looong
walks and of course, very
good food as my mom is an
excellent cook! Since they
are in the country, the
internet is quite spotty {hope
this gets posted} which is
a bit of a blessing, as I
can write but not necessarily
spend hours "down the rabbit
hole" of blogging. I think
we all need to recharge. Here's
hoping your holiday is filled
with peace and joy and all
those things that energize you,
sweet friend. Hope to see you
in 2011!!
xx Suzanne
